TOPSHOP UNIQUE AW12

Topshop Unique not only had the coolest of cool sitting in the front row but probably one of my favourite collections from fashion week.
The collection was based on bringing uniform to the street so military was a big overall theme for Topshop.
Platform spiked stompy boots, exposed zips, split skirts,80's style puffed sleeves, silk shirts, hand knits and metallics are all things to look out for AW12.
My favourite pieces from Toppers was the Velvet dungarees, the Leather pinafore and the High waisted rusty brass shorts.
Have a mooch as these pictures from Inside-out the Topshop Blog.

SOUTH

It may still be freezing outside and we are still a few months away from ditching our knitwear but this does not stop Topshop from launching their SS12 collections.
Looking at some of the collections that Topshop are creating it seems like glamorous luxe sportswear is going to be a big trend for Spring/Summer 12.
Have a perv at Topshop's South Pacific collection, this collection entangles Hawaiian hibiscus, hints of animal print, bold patterns with a slight glimpse of acid brights and of course that luxe sportswear is making an appearance too.

WARDROBE SATISFACTION

I hit the sales early this year to avoid disappointment and the urge to gauge someones eye out with a coat hanger over the last size 10 in anything on the rail.
Nothing is better than a neat and tidy sale rail with no one around it and Christmas eve was certainly the best time for this.
I came away with some real bargains and will not need to shop now until i want to stock up my SS12 wardrobe.

LAZY OAF IS 10

Lazy Oaf was celebrating its 10th anniversary last week and I was lucky enough to get the chance to go help celebrate in the very stylish Shoreditch.
Unfortunately the lesson I have learnt in life is not to use Film when you have raided the free bar as your photos come up very blurry and a few heads have been swiped off!
If I did take your picture and its not here I apologise and totally blame it on the free Mango vodka.
But here are the few that survived.

Told you I didn't make a great vodka fulled photographer, however everyone really did look the part and i was amazed at how many beautiful people could fit in the one room.
Have a ganders at some more of my awful drunk photography.

PIECE OF CAKE

With a very limited budget and being left alone in the world of Topshop Oxford Circus I was like a little rabbit in a set of headlights.
I had 2 hours to kill and I killed them well in the Flagship store browsing the rails for inspiration and with my own personal mission to just walk away with ONE item.
What really sucks is the times I have entered that store with a full student loan and can't find anything I wanna part my strongbow fund to, the time i literally have a £40 budget i want the whole shop..
The winning contender was another Tee and Cake Tshirt to add my growing collection and it was half my budget at £22. Bargain. <3

What also caught my eye was the incredible level of Visual merchandising that went into creating the window displays.

When it comes to MOD you need to set your sights on Tartan, Check, Studs, lashings of leopard print,Brogues and Knotted hair.

STANDON CALLING STYLESPOT

Hannah and I went to work at Standon Calling festival last week and I found these yummy people and took some snaps.
Ive just brought a book which I'm gonna collect pics in for style inspiration and always keep a cheeky disposable in my bag in case I bump into anyone that catches my eye.
There is something slightly cute about it, it reminds me of the film Amelie and the book that contained all the stray pictures from the photo booth.
Anyway Standon Calling. 12.08.11 - 14.08.11

TEE AND CAKE

After seeing this Blog post by River Island I was desperate to know where Ellie Goulding got her cute Birdie Tshirt from.
And guess what happened after a quick stumble into Topshop before work. The Designer Tee and Cake had its own section bang in the middle of the shop and the cute Tshirt was in full buying view.
Of course I brought it!  £20.00 Bargain.
