HAPPY RECORD DAY

As some of you may know its Record day today and across the UK people are celebrating it in their own ways.
Secret 7 is a project that combines artwork, music and mystery.Artists have been asked to make record sleeves inspired by songs from the likes of Ben Howard, Florence + The Machine, The Cure, Bombay Bicycle club and Noah And The Whale.
To keep it exciting the artists have displayed their work in secret so no one knows whose work is whose or which song they have chosen to work with.
It's such a refreshing idea in the whole digital generation, as I know the one thing I miss the most when purchasing from Itunes is the album art work.
The whole thing is also for charity and the donations towards the work goes to the Cancer trust, an added bonus!

Here are my Favs.

BEAUTY IN THE BREAKDOWN

I'm a bit of an odd one when it comes to things that excite me, my family found this out at the weekend without a doubt.
I was born in Essex and this Easter I took a trip back there to see the family and to be a bit of a geeky tourist.
My favourite place to go when in Essex is a place called Jaywick, for anyone that has heard of the place you may think I'm a total freak for loving it.
Jaywick fascinates me, it's a rundown seaside town just outside Clacton. It was originally a seaside retreat for Londoners which has literally been left to decay and rot. It's now known for being the most deprived town in the UK.
I shocked my family especially my Dad when I asked him to stop every five minutes to take a photo of the run down beach houses.
The place reminds me of Sylvanian families with each beach hut containing its only personality and a cute little community with its own casino, diner, dress shop and pub in the form of little miniature run down huts.
I have a few snaps to post of the buildings that floated my boat the most.

MY MILKSHAKE BRINGS ALL THE BOYS TO THE YARD

Easter Holidays means two things..... I can roll around in chocolate guilt free and my two favourite people in the world are home from uni.
Date day with my ginger bezzie was a total success, £30 spent on a deli board and a trip to get a carrot cake milkshake, Divine.

SPRING STEP

The Sun coming out to play is enough for any girl to get into the Spring vibe and ditch away that Winter coat in exchange for some Spring pastels.
The latest things to hit my Spring wardrobe however have all had to be put away again until that sun makes an appearance again and unfortunately the tights are firmly back on and spring afternoons spent in beer gardens are distant memories.
Here is a sneaky peek at the latest high street items that have made their way into my spring wardrobe.
