BEAUTY IN THE BREAKDOWN

I'm a bit of an odd one when it comes to things that excite me, my family found this out at the weekend without a doubt.
I was born in Essex and this Easter I took a trip back there to see the family and to be a bit of a geeky tourist.
My favourite place to go when in Essex is a place called Jaywick, for anyone that has heard of the place you may think I'm a total freak for loving it.
Jaywick fascinates me, it's a rundown seaside town just outside Clacton. It was originally a seaside retreat for Londoners which has literally been left to decay and rot. It's now known for being the most deprived town in the UK.
I shocked my family especially my Dad when I asked him to stop every five minutes to take a photo of the run down beach houses.
The place reminds me of Sylvanian families with each beach hut containing its only personality and a cute little community with its own casino, diner, dress shop and pub in the form of little miniature run down huts.
I have a few snaps to post of the buildings that floated my boat the most.
