The past few days all I seem to have done is watch a multitude of love stories and soppy films that have resulted in a 25 year old single girl sulking into her pillow because she can't find her Mr Darcy.
I am a total sucker for a good love story and I'm not ashamed to admit I cry at pretty much any sad or happy love film out there, in fact when I've just had my heart snapped in two I often grab the nearest copy of any sop just to make myself cry harder.
The last three films to turn me into a crying pulp have been Amelie, Bridget Jones and 500 days of Summer.
Amelie has been my favourite film for years and French cinema is something very close to my heart.
I won't go into detail about these films because that's what IMDB is for, but what I will say is apart from all these films drawing me to tears they also show that love isn't all about grand gestures and fairy tales its about coincidence and being in that right place at simply the right time. If Amelie wouldn't have found that book full of stray photos she would of never met Nino. If Bridget had not of gone to that cringey family party then Dacey wouldn't of come back in her life and although 500 days of Summer classes itself as not another love story evidently it teaches you of of the rules of love,
Right place right time.
