little money maker scheme

Charity shops around Oxfordshire tend to be a massive case of luck or you have to have an eye for customising things which unfortunately i haven't had before.
I have to admit I've been really lazy with charity shop rummaging at the moment, i just seem to walk in and walk out and not really get deep into the piles of mostly crap that fill the shops of Cowley Road ,but when you do find that hidden gem its a moment of fulfilment.
I seem to spend more of my time sifting through eBay and what i noticed is that the stuff i was buying was other peoples charity shop finds and making money from my own ignorance and laziness of not being bothered to search myself.

One of my favorite sellers on EBay is a girl from Sussex who must be a student who has masses of time of her hands, she finds stuff in charity shops that fits in with current trends models them on a blonde beaut stereotypical indie looking girl and classes the stuff as vintage and makes in some cases a lot of money.  I've never been to Sussex so i don't know what the charity shops are like but imagine that thrift shopping there is a dream.

Love this look
This jacket she placed on eBay at a starting bid of 99p, i love this blazer and did place a bid but it just made me realise i should stop being so bloody lazy and search myself as this is the kind of thing you can find in most charity shops its just having that vision of what it would look like teamed with other items. The jacket ended up going for £17.50 + £4.00 postage. This jacket is also on trend with the colour, literally saw the below jacket in Topshop the other day selling for £37.00.

Topshop £37.00

This seller has now sold over 120 items i literally look at her items everyday to see what new finds she has listed. I have only ever won one item with her but its one of my favorite i have ever won on eBay.
Its a vintage real leather gold buckle belt with little Scottie dogs  from St Michel ( Marks & Spencer) totally love it, i mostly team it with high wasted shorts and a shirt its too big too go around anything else but it was a bargain price of £2.02.

So I've decided as a Summer project and little money making scheme I'm going to try and do the same, and when i get my fashion mad friend back from Uni hopefully she will be up for making some cider Penny's as she has the best eye for little vintage finds!

  1. I have been meaning to do the same thing ever since I started my blog, but I am too lazy! Really should get on it over the summer. xx
